We wanted to give you an update on what’s going on with GamesBeat Community.
Our original plan was to relaunch our community site on Jan. 1. While we were able to get the new post editor up as part of a soft launch, some bugs are holding up the full migration. For example, the GamesBeat Unfiltered name is still lingering (which should switch over to the new name, GamesBeat Community, soon). We also need to make some design changes to make posting and tracking your stories easier.
On the bright side, a bug that was listing the author of all of your old stores as “Bitmob” should be fixed. If your old stories still don’t have the right byline, please let us know.
We’re also going to extend the deadline for our Xbox One/Assassin’s Creed: Unity bundle contest. Everyone who writes a post for GamesBeat Community (and who lives in the continental U.S.) has a chance to win. We originally were ending the giveaway at the end of the month, but we’re pushing the deadline back to Feb. 15.
